Exploring Sustainable Tourism through Virtual Reality:
QESS Public Lecture and CPCE VR Lab Visit
On July 14, 2023, we had the pleasure of hosting a captivating QESS Public Lecture and CPCE VR Lab Visit at the PolyU West Kowloon Campus. The event title was “Enhancing Teaching Experience: Understanding Sustainable Tourism through Virtual Reality (VR)”. Our guest speaker, Ms. Cindy Choi, Chairperson of the Association for Geoconservation, Hong Kong (AGHK), delivered an insightful talk on “Geodiversity: The Cradle for Sustainable Tourism and Development in Hong Kong”. We were pleased to see a diverse group of primary and secondary teachers in attendance, all eager to delve into the latest strides in VR technology. After the lecture, the attendees were treated to a hands-on experience in our VR Lab. They gained invaluable insights into how immersive technology can revolutionise the teaching and learning experience.
